Punat, 15 km before Baska, lies in the southern part of the island of Krk, in one of the most beautiful and wll-protected bays of the Adriatic. Punat is today known in Europe for one of the largest and best-equipped tourist marinas on the eastern coast of the Adriatic. It also has an outstanding jewel: the islet of Kosšljun with its Franciscan monastery, which lies in the middle of the punat Bay.
